Gowrie Early Learning Nedlands is situated on the campus of Perth Children’s Hospital and Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, in Nedlands Western Australia. We can be found providing high quality community based childcare services on the 6th floor of the QEII Medical Centre carpark.
Gowrie Early Learning Nedlands caters for 105 children from birth to school age. Our dedicated and qualified Educators strive to enhance the children’s learning and strengthen their sense of identity through spontaneous and planned teaching, and the purposeful inclusion of the children’s current interests, abilities, strengths, ideas and cultures. The National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework is consistently used in concurrence when our programs are planned, to ensure our service meets all outcomes of the children’s learning. In addition, the children are provided with a variety of educational experiences that are enriched with dispositions for learning, including creativity, curiosity and innovation, to promote stimulation, development and growth.
Our centre provides warm, inviting and safe indoor environments and exciting outdoor play spaces that provide a myriad of wonderful educational experiences for the children. Our spaces encourage exploration, investigation and child-initiated play, which contributes to the development of the children’s skills and abilities in all domains.
We are also fortunate that our fantastic service is located just steps from some of Perth’s most beautiful locations, including Kings Park and the University of Western Australia. The manicured grasslands, nature playgrounds, climbing materials and natural resources surrounding our centre provide great spaces for running, rolling, balancing, jumping and playing. It is important for children to develop a sense of community and belonging, and by going on exciting and engaging excursions we are able to help foster that development.
