The Gowrie offers a number of services in a range of locations across Perth. The services are provided to individuals, couples, families or groups by professionally qualified staff who able to assist you with a range of issues such as:
- Increasing parental effectiveness by learning to understand your children and developing new communication skills and parenting strategies to improve your family’s life.
- Gain better control over your money to ensure that you can pay for your everyday living expenses, learn to save so that you can enjoy special occasions, activities or holidays.
- Feel better about yourself so that you can enjoy life within the workplace, community and relationships.
- Join a social group or adult education group or activity in your local community to get to know people and make friends in the local community.
- Learn the basics of computer use so that you can participate, understand and feel part of our ever changing technological era.
- Receive assistance to effectively communicate with government departments and other service providers, to both understand and ensure that you receive the government benefits to which you are entitled.
- Gain advice on dealing with difficult family situations and relationship difficulties to gain greater happiness in your everyday life.
- Receive assistance with communicating with government departments, rental agencies, power, water, gas, telephone providers and other service providers during times of financial difficulties.
- Your child could join the Multi-cultural homework group for assistance with completion of homework, and you will gain a better understanding of the Australian school system and your role in your child’s education.
